Book Your Free Consultation

Taking the first step into therapy can feel like a big decision, which is why I offer a free consultation before you commit. This short call gives us both the chance to see whether working together feels like a good fit, without any pressure or obligation.

The free consultation can take place either by Microsoft Teams video call or telephone, depending on what you feel most comfortable with (see booking links above). At present, I only work in private practice on Wednesdays and Fridays during the daytime, if you cannot make any of the times listed, please feel free to email me directly and I will do my best to accommodate you.

During your free consultation, you can expect the following structure:

  • Introductions: A relaxed opportunity for us to get to know each other.
  • Summary of your main problem: This just a brief outline of what has brought you to therapy. You only need to share what you feel comfortable with.
  • How I work: If I think I might be the appropriate person to work with you, I will explain the way sessions are structured, the therapeutic approaches I may use, and how these could be tailored to your needs.
  • Practicalities: This includes discussing session times, and what the next steps might look like, for example completing the therapy agreement and preparing for sessions. If I do not think I could work with you effectively, then I will discuss other options for support.

This short consultation is designed to give you clarity about what therapy with me could involve, while also giving you space to decide if you’d like to move forward. If you have any questions afterwards, you are more than welcome to contact me by email. Please do not feel rushed as there is no expectation to let me know your context in detail during this brief call.
