Single-Session Therapy

At Wimbledon Psychology, I offer single-session therapy for individuals and couples. These 50-minute sessions are designed to help you address a specific concern or challenge efficiently. Sessions are available on weekends in the morning, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.

What to Expect

Single-session therapy (SST) is a focused, time-limited approach. During the session, we’ll explore your main concern and identify practical steps you can take moving forward. SST is ideal for both individuals and couples dealing with a specific issue but is not intended to resolve complex or long-term mental health difficulties. For more perinatal mental health issues and complex concerns, a full course of therapy is needed to ensure ethical and effective care.

Single-Session Therapy for Individuals

This option is ideal for individuals seeking support with a specific challenge, such as managing a situation specific anxiety, making decisions, difficulties with motivation, or navigating a life transition. We’ll work together to develop practical solutions, identify your strengths, and create clear steps to move forward.

Single-Session Couples Therapy

Couples often seek therapy to address one issue, such as improving communication or resolving conflict. In our session, we’ll focus on that specific concern, providing tools for better communication and a clearer understanding of your relationship dynamics. While one session can provide valuable insights, ongoing therapy may be needed for more complex issues.

Research has demonstrated that "Single-session interventions can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress, providing short-term relief and often serving as a stepping stone for further treatment, if needed." (Sanders et al., 2013)
